Animal Cruelty Poem

Danger, emotions, harm, loneliness, greed, hunger, distressing, disappointment, shame, violation, intimidation.

It’s cruel to the animals. Stop it!

Why are you doing this to me?

“Would you like me to do it to you?” Monkeys cry.

Scientists shoving a tube down my throat, like stabbing pains running up and down, all for hairspray.

I feel a sharp metal blade going through my skin.

Barking, monkeys screaming in pain.

Sadness, pain, cruelty.
